“Spring Break”

“Spring Break” used to be associated with college kids “gettin’-their-drink-on” in Palm Springs but that has changed in recent years. There are still plenty of young adults celebrating their break from school, but it’s much more tame in southern California now. The big party scene can however still be found on the beaches of Florida and in the resorts of Cancun.

Popular Destinations for Easter week in Southern California

Now Palm Springs association with “Spring Break” or “Easter Break” is much different.  It’s people coming into town to enjoy the start of Spring. The  weather is the best. 80 degrees, dry and crystal clear air. The evenings are warm, and the sunsets are stunning.  Day time is for golf, tennis, shopping, and the options for dining is fantastic.  Typically people will hire professional drivers for nights on the town whether its a romantic evening for two or a big group of people. Many of the out-of-towners are from Canada, Chicago, and alike.  Limo rental or Party Bus rental is usually the choice of vehicles depending on the size of the party.

The Living Zoo in Palm Desert is also a must see, and it’s not just for kids. They offer camel rides, giraffe feeding, wildlife shows, all in a gorgeous serene setting.

The local mountains (of San Bernardino and Riverside) including Big Bear are a popular choice for the holiday. The snow capped mountains are breathtaking and Spring is the best time to visit. The weather is crisp and the air is so refreshing.  Shuttling up to the mountains in a Party Bus with a big group of people and a case of wine can’t be beat.

Disneyland in Anaheim

For families, the choices are obviously Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm in Anaheim. The days are full of non- stop activities for the kids and the evenings offer all types of choices for families or just the adults. Restaurants we often drop clients to are “The White House”, McCormick and Schmicks, The Ranch Restaurant, Ruth’s Steak House, or Napa Rose. It is not uncommon couples will order a limo for a quiet night after a long day at the park.
